Wanna get Lucky?

Then you should contact the folks at Animal Rescue of Fresno in California.  Lucky has been waiting and waiting for the right person to come to the shelter and take him home.

He’s a little shy when he first meets people, but he warms right up when he gets to know you.  Lucky would love to crawl into your lap for kisses and belly rubs.  He’s also great at fetch!  Don’t let this little dog fool you - he can give a retriever a run for her money!

If you’re asking yourself how can you get Lucky, here’s the answer: call 559-225-5715 or email canine@arf-fresno.com!

Tough guy Teddy Pug from the Pug Rescue Network in Southeastern Michigan wants you to know that he’s more dog with one eye than most dogs are with two.
That’s how tough Teddy is.
Teddy is actually completely blind, but the Pug Rescue Network is getting him surgery to fix sight in one eye.
Of course, like all the best bad boys, Teddy has a heart of gold. He loves to cuddle (don’t tell anyone - he has a reputation!), and he gets along great with other dogs.
Ready to take this tough guy home? Call 248-432-0102, or email curlytails@pugrescuenetwork.com.

Where do dogs pick up that adorable head tilt they all seem to master?

Jesse certainly has it down pat.  He must be studying head tilts as part of his class “How to Get Adopted 101.”  It’s offered by the Natchitoches Humane Society in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and they have nothing bad to say about their star pupil!

Jesse is friendly, loveable, and healthy.  If that’s not enough, he’s wonderful with kids!

The only graduation gift Jesse wants is to be adopted.  If that’s something you can do, contact Shannon at (318) 357-9300, Ext. 222 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or email natchitocheshumane@yahoo.com!

Meet Monroe. Like Marilyn, but with a much better ending!
She can’t see, but you would never know it. According to her friends at the Woodhaven Humane Society in Bowling Green, Ohio, she runs, plays, and demands attention just like any other kitty!
Monroe loves to be pet, and will happily curl up on your lap when you’re watching TV. She’s a little nervous around other small pets and children, so she’d prefer a nice, quiet home where everything stays where it’s supposed to be!
Monroe is so amazing, so fabulous, and she will love you so hard for so long that you’re going to wonder how you ever got along without her. Call the shelter at (419) 352-7339, or email woodcountyhumanesociety@gmail.com, to meet the fantastic Ms. Monroe!

Shhh… be very quiet. Isis is trying to lure a person in to give her belly rubs.
Her favorite thing about this game is that it requires patience. Her friends at R.A.I.N. Rescue in Chandler, Arizona, keep saying that she needs to be patient and wait for a home. And they say that her new owners need to be patient because she’s very shy and a little nervous around new people.
So she’s really good at waiting.
But even patient kitties want homes, so Isis is practicing her best adorable pose to encourage some nice kind, patient person to come up and give her gentle pats!
If you can’t wait to bring Isis home, call 480-628-4048 or email: info@azrain.org!

Astro has been working as the office manager at the Friends United with the Richmond Shelter (FURS) dog kennel in Richmond, Virginia.

He excels in human management, and he’s pretty sure the dogs know who’s boss, but he’s looking for a new home-based opportunity.  His salary is pretty reasonable: lots of belly rubs and a few toys to play with.

His five year plan? Supervising a family of his very own.
If you’re hiring, call his office at 804-364-1944!

Her name is Star, but she’s really more of a Starfish.  She loves to swim in the puppy pools at theYolo County Animal Services Shelter near Sacramento, California.

Swimming isn’t her only talent.  She loves running, playing fetch, and getting belly rubs.  Of course, she also knows the value of a good nap. Preferably a good nap with you on the couch, where you can scratch her ears and tell her how pretty she is.

She’s a little worried, because she’s been in the shelter since April and she was really hoping to be home by now.  In fact, she’s developing something called “kennel stress” and she can go to a foster home if an adopter doesn’t find her right away.

So if you don’t have other pets, or maybe just a nice, mellow male dog who can understand she’s going to be stressed for a while, email ycasrescue@hotmail.com or call (530) 668-5287 and offer to adopt or foster Star!
